The designers and builders, Victor Mill and Hugh Ones of Beaumaris Instrument Company reported 6 hp at 150 psi, 4-3/4 hp at 100 psi at 500 rpm at 36 lbs steam per hour, which is ideally sized for a 23-foot steam launch hull. Height, 25” x Length, 21” x Width, 12.” Jones’ intent was to produce exhibition quality engines, and these are the product. Beaumaris won the annual Apprentice Competition with this engine.

Note: Marine steam engines are Right Hand, turning clockwise, viewer facing forward. We also have a Left Hand rotating variation of this engine, the Port Engine of a “matched pair.” We have a suitable ASME Code Tubular boiler for the builder intent on a twin screw installation.
